I started to hate it because it fooled me to believe that I have done something wrong with my web application few times, until I remember about the cache.

I was writing a URL rewrite in .htaccess when one of the link unconditionally redirecting (301) it to my php script. Only that single entry, while other URLs were fine.

I know it was due to Chrome when the .htaccess shows no strange effect with Firefox.

So diabling Chrome cache is the answer:

Ctrl+Shift+i

Press the gear icon, look for General tab. There you will see “Disable cache”.
