Debit Cards in Malaysia
Some people declare a war to credit cards. Get rid of it whenever possible. Well I’m not that mad to credit cards, but I was quite happy at the time I saw my Maybank Visa & Mastercard been cut into pieces. That same satisfaction feeling again came to me today as I submitted my Bank Islam Visa & Mastercard cancellation form. What a relief 😉 Have some more in the wallet but I guess it will take some time to get rid all of them.
I started looking for debit cards as replacement. As the promo say it, no fees, no hasles, no late payment charges! Here the list of debit cards offered by local banks in Malaysia.
Public Bank Visa Electron
0.5% cash rebate for every transaction, monthly interest on balance, RM24 annual fee (waived for first year), RM12 for supplementary card.
Maybankard Visa Debit
1 TreatPoints for RM3 purchase, NO annual fees, RM0.50/withdrawal, RM12 to convert normal ATM card to Debit Card.
RHB Cash-Connect Debit MasterCard
0.5% cash rebate on all purchases, RM15 annual fee, free withdrawals, 1% on transaction at overseas.
AFFINBANK Debit MasterCard
0.5% cash rebate on all transactions, free travel insurance RM150,000,

Macamana penggunaan kt oversea? adakah debit card boleh digunakan utk hotel payment?

salam…if im not mistaken,maybank visa debit card just only can use where the merchant are follow the syariah procedure..its depends what type of saving account we are opened with maybank…for e.g saving acoount al-wadiah…so i think maybank visa debit cards cant be use at genting….
notice me if im wrong….
for my opinions,every each debit cards or credit cards got their own purpose..just what the facilities their provide is a same..but the purpose still ada perbezaan yg utama….

Saya dah dapat PBVE debit card.
Apply dengan isi borang di bank, dua minggu je siap. Tunggu seminggu untuk PIN.
Dah siap verify Paypal, ye, PBVE diterima Paypal.

saya belum pernah cuba affin. tapi saya menggunakan maybank debit card, setakat ni ok. beli barang dan isi minyak semuanya boleh dibuat. untuk kegunaan internet saya gunakan public bank visa debit.
